Meet the Team

Epoch Automotive, based in Doylestown, PA, was founded on the belief that car care should be transparent and reliable—delivered by real people dedicated to earning trust and keeping drivers confident on the road.

The People Behind the Precision

Epoch Automotive is led by owner Jonathon Tangye, who brings over 24 years of experience in the automotive industry. His career path spans from apprentice technician to service advisor, franchise manager, and now independent shop owner.

Jonathon is ASE Certified and factory trained with GM, Ford, and Kia, and he continues to serve the industry as Mechanical Director of the Mid-Atlantic Auto Care Alliance and as an advisory board member at Community College of Philadelphia.

Faces You Can Trust

Our shop is small but mighty, with a team of four people working together to deliver consistent, trustworthy service. Jonathon and one other technician are ASE Certified, ensuring skilled care on every vehicle. We’re proud that our customers know us by name and trust us with their family’s safety.

Epoch Automotive was founded in 2020 after loyal customers encouraged Jonathon to create a shop of his own—one built around education and transparency rather than the typical dealership or franchise culture.

We work a 4-day workweek to support staff well-being, prevent burnout, and ensure we show up each day ready to give our best.

We know that caring for a car is about more than parts and repairs. Our team invests in technology and training to stay ahead, including advanced diagnostics and ADAS calibration. Just as importantly, we see every repair as a chance to build trust and strengthen our connection with the community we serve.

Meet Nick – 12 Years In, Still Missing the 10mm

Nick has been working on cars for over 12 years… and like every technician out there, he’s got plenty of 10mm sockets—he just can’t seem to find one when he actually needs it.

Nick is a technician at Epoch Automotive in Doylestown, PA, where he works on a wide range of vehicles with a focus on accurate diagnostics, maintenance, and repair. He joined the team in 2021 with dealership experience from Nissan and Buick/GMC, bringing a strong foundation in modern vehicle systems and real-world repair experience.

A local to the Central Bucks area, Nick got his start going to car shows with his dad. That early interest turned into a career path through Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, helping lay the groundwork for where he is today.

Since joining Epoch Automotive, Nick has grown significantly as a technician. He earned his ASE certifications in Steering & Suspension and Brakes during his time here and has continued to build on that by attending aftermarket automotive training seminars and industry events. As vehicles continue to evolve, he’s the kind of technician who puts in the effort to stay current.

Nick especially enjoys working on Nissan and Jeep vehicles, but more importantly, he brings a patient, thoughtful approach to every repair. Whether it’s routine maintenance or more involved diagnostic work, he takes the time to understand what’s going on and make sure it’s done right.

A Note from the Owner

Nick has been a part of Epoch Automotive for several years, and his growth has been hard to miss.

He came in with a solid foundation, but over time has developed into a much more confident and well-rounded technician. His skillset has grown, but more importantly, so has his pride in his work—and that shows in everything he does.

He’s been a rock-solid member of the team, and Epoch Automotive is extremely proud of what he’s accomplished.

When he’s not working on vehicles around Doylestown and the Central Bucks area:
🏁 Following Formula 1
🏒 Watching Flyers hockey
🔥 BBQing
Drives a Kei truck (Suzuki Carry)… which is exactly as weird and awesome as it sounds.

At home, he lives with his fiancée Steph and their two cats, Kitty and Lucky (no relation to Epoch’s shop dog… different department entirely).

“Stay on top of oil changes… and try not to hit every pothole in Pennsylvania.”

Nick represents what Epoch Automotive is all about—experience, continued training, and a commitment to doing things the right way. For clients in Doylestown and the surrounding Central Bucks area looking for reliable auto repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, Nick is someone who takes pride in every vehicle he works on.

Giving Back to Doylestown and Beyond

Beyond the shop, our team actively participates in volunteering and community outreach. Even our rescue dog, Lucky, serves as the shop mascot—reminding us that being part of Doylestown means giving back in both big and small ways every day.
